Esquire Townhouse

As Malaysia goes into a period of lockdown from 18th to 31st March, I will be publishing a new post on this blog everyday to keep all my friends back home company. This post is part of the #Lockdown series.

Day 5 of self-isolation – how are you getting on?

I am NOT switched on right now. I am laying in bed with eyes wide shut. Not à la Stanley Kubrik (not that lush) but more bottlenose dolphin, sleeping with my eyes wide open. My brain is shut, having fought a war and given birth to a triplet today. I am shattered.

But before I go to bed, I thought I would share some photos with you. These were taken at the Esquire Townhouse. It’s at Pall Mall, has a lounge, a loft, a grooming room, beautiful people but mediocre hand wash and diluted coffee. I had a great time there and met the polar explorer, Mark Wood. While everyone pestered him with questions about his motivation, his willpower, the social causes he cares about, his training for the solo expedition across the Arctic bla bla bla, I asked him what did he do if he was bored on the road. He said that’s his biggest challenge. Mic dropped.

OK, I will return tomorrow with a more wordy post. Until then, enjoy this one. Beggars can’t be choosers!

With love x
